Therapist’s Statement

My husband and I have recently moved to the Des Moines area from northwest Iowa. I am an Iowa girl at heart as I grew up in southwest Iowa. In my free time you’ll find me baking, making candles or painting, doing puzzles, going for walks, playing pickleball or disc golf with my husband, or drinking coffee! I love finding what is good for my mind and body as both a form of getting active and self-care. As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients can feel seen, heard, and supported as their authentic selves. My faith shapes who I am as a person and counselor and am able and open to integrating faith and spirituality into sessions for those who are interested. I look forward to walking through this journey together!
